Online Banking

What are the User ID and Password requirements?

Your User ID must contain 8 to 32 letters or numbers.  

Your password must contain 8-20 characters, including at least one lower case letter, one upper case letter and a number. Spaces are not allowed.

Savings Account

Do you offer ATM cards, debit cards, or checks with my savings account?

Since our savings account is designed to help you achieve your savings goals and not intended for daily use, at this time we don’t offer ATM cards, debit cards or checks.

Joint Account Holders

How do I add or become a joint account holder?

Joint owners may be added during the initial new account opening session online, over the phone, or in person at a Financial Center. You may also add or become a joint owner after an account is opened by giving us a call toll free at 1-855-488-7873 or visiting us in person.

Joint account holders must provide PurePoint with their date of birth, Social Security Number, address, and contact information. They must also accept PurePoint’s online agreements and disclosures. If applying in person at a PurePoint Financial Center, the joint owner must also provide valid identification.

Certificate of Deposit (CD)

What is a CD ladder?

CD ladders are a great way to maximize your earnings while allowing access to some of your funds at specific time intervals.
 
For example: Say you invest equal amounts in short-, medium-, and long-term CDs at staggered intervals. When your short-term CDs mature, you typically reinvest the funds in long-term CDs. Remember to consider FDIC limits when building your ladder.

What’s the difference between your savings account and Certificate of Deposit (CD)?

Our savings account offers you access to your funds whenever you need them while you earn market-leading rates on your balance of $10,000 or more. It’s easy to make convenient online funds transfers. Just link your savings account to your account(s) at other financial institutions. Transfer restrictions apply for savings accounts. See A Guide to Our Savings Account for more details.

Our Certificate of Deposit (CD) is a savings option that offers you a higher rate of interest in exchange for agreeing to invest your savings for a preset period of time. It can be a great solution if you don't need immediate access to your funds.  Keep in mind that an early withdrawal penalty will apply if you withdraw funds prior to maturity. Are PurePoint’s savings and CD rates competitive?

Does PurePoint offer checking accounts?

Not at this time. Our focus is on innovative savings solutions that can help you achieve more. You can easily link your PurePoint savings or CD account(s) to accounts at other financial institutions for easy transfers or recurring deposits. Transfer restrictions apply.

Account Ownership

How can I change my account ownership to a trust account?

You can convert an existing PurePoint account to a Personal Trust account if you have already established a Personal Trust. You will need to initially open your account as an individual or joint account. Some conditions and restrictions apply.

In Online Banking:

  • Select Documents, then Forms, and open the Trust Certification Form. You can also download the form here.
  • Review the form for instructions and complete accordingly. Give us a call at 1-855-488-7873 if you need assistance.
    • Revocable Trust clients - a notary or bank witness is not required upfront, but if one is required after further review you'll be notified within three (3) days of receipt.
    • Irrevocable Trust clients - a notary or bank witness is required.
  • Print and mail the completed document to: PurePoint Financial, Attention: Account Maintenance, P.O. Box 2157, Cranberry Twp, PA 16066.
  • We’ll notify you once the process is complete.

How do I open a PurePoint savings account or a Certificate of Deposit (CD)?

It’s simple to open a savings account or CD online, by phone or in person at any of our convenient Financial Centers.

What is the minimum deposit to open a savings or CD account?

PurePoint accounts require a minimum opening deposit of $10,000.

Do you offer accounts for minors?

Adults over the age of 18 can open a PurePoint account.

An adult who’s the primary account holder can add a minor between the ages of 13-17 as a joint account holder. At this time, we don’t offer custodial accounts or accounts to children under 13.

When I open an account, is instant verification secure?

Your privacy and security are extremely important to us, so we protect your login credentials using 128-bit level encryption. Your external bank’s log in information is only used once to verify that you own the account. PurePoint will never use this information again.
